The new care facilities, designed by the architectural firm Studio Ekberg, are being built on the property where the old care home Norrlidshemmet was previously located. The building will be two stories high and have a gross floor area of approximately 3,500 square meters.

The care facilities meet high sustainability requirements and will be certified according to the new Miljöbyggnad version 4.0, level Gold. The project's climate impact will be very low. Among other things, the house is mainly built in wood supplemented with concrete with a lower climate impact. In addition to this, innovative and efficient energy solutions are used to achieve a very low energy demand during operation and management.

The deal requires obtaining a building permit and construction is expected to start in February 2025. The new premises can then be ready in the last quarter of 2026.
