Sweden — The City of Gothenburg has the potential to foster better collaboration between the municipality and property owners, but working methods need to become more long-term and collaborative. This is the view of City Planning Director Henrik Kant, who calls for shared objectives, timelines, and financial frameworks in major urban development areas. At the same time, he notes that the municipality’s own working methods and financial constraints sometimes hinder broader cooperation.
