The fund’s 65 percent stake in its final asset, BROEN Shopping Centre in Esbjerg, Denmark, was sold to AGAT Ejendomme at the end of September 2026. As the fund is in the carried interest phase, the divestment of the BROEN Shopping Centre will generate carried interest income.
NRE I was Capman's first pan-Nordic real estate fund and laid the foundation for the firm's Nordic value-add real estate investment strategy. Over its lifetime, the fund delivered on its target return to its investors while building a diversified portfolio across the Nordic region.
"The successful exit of NRE I marks an important milestone for Capman Real Estate. The fund established our pan-Nordic investment platform and demonstrated the benefits of combining local market expertise with a Nordic investment approach. We would like to thank our investors for their trust and partnership throughout the fund's lifecycle," says Mika Matikainen, Managing Partner at Capman Real Estate.
Since the launch of NRE I, Capman Real Estate has raised around EUR 1.4 billion of equity for its pan-Nordic closed-ended funds. The latest fund in the series, Capman Nordic Real Estate IV (NRE IV), with a target size of EUR 750 million announced its first closing at the end of June 2026.
NRE IV continues the proven pan-Nordic strategy with a particular focus on residential, public sector and hospitality properties, targeting attractive risk-adjusted returns through active asset management and value creation.
