Dagens industri's review of Alecta's investment in Heimstaden Bostad, where the pension giant has invested approximately SEK 50 billion in the real estate company, presents information about the criminal investigation at the Swedish National Anti-Corruption Unit, which began at the end of November last year, is investigating crimes related to bribery and breach of trust.

According to DI, it is about managers at Alecta who were instrumental the investments in Heimstaden Bostad being suspected of having been bribed by the company's founder and largest owner Ivar Tollefsen. In the information that DI presents, there are suspicions that employees at Alecta were given exclusive holiday accommodation in South Africa and France.

Heimstaden itself denies Dagens industri's information:

“There is no substance to the speculation as no Alecta employees have been on trips or stays invited or paid for by Heimstaden and/or Heimstaden AB's chairperson, Ivar Tollefsen,” Heimstaden writes in a press release.
