Langeggen, who is currently managing director of KLP Eiendom, will start his new job on 1 September. KLP Eiendom AS is the pension company KLP's subsidiary and manages pension money in property for almost one million pensioners and employees in municipal and health Norway.

Chairman of KLP Eiendom, Aage Schaanning, tells of a thorough and good process to find the right candidate.

"This was a sought-after job opportunity and we have had several rounds with many very good applicants, both internal and external. We have been looking for the best candidate for the position, and we have succeeded. We are confident that Ellen Langeggen can manage and further develop KLP's properties in a very good way," says Schaanning.

Langeggen comes from the position of managing director at KLP Eiendom, and has been with the company for 25 years. She is looking forward to taking over from current CEO Gunnar Gjørtz, who is retiring after nearly 14 years as CEO.

"I am very happy to have the opportunity to lead KLP Eiendom going forward. I believe that with my long and broad experience from the industry, I can lead the company in a good way into the future together with talented colleagues. We are in a unique position with good access to capital and with many good properties in a central location," says Langeggen.

KLP Eiendom creates a good return on KLP's pension capital, among other things, by actively contributing to the green shift in the property industry.

"Through sustainable operation, management and project development, we align our property portfolio in line with the climate goals in the Paris Agreement. Our ambition is for consideration for the environment to be part of our DNA," says Langeggen.

Schaanning says that Langeggen is taking over a large and well-run property company with a top property portfolio that has contributed a solid return to the pension capital for many years.

"KLP Eiendom under Gunnar Gjørtz's management deserves all the thanks for the work done," says Schaanning.

"Ellen has been a close colleague all these years. Her in-depth knowledge of the business and solid contribution to the results achieved will ensure safe continuity in the company's further operation and development," says Gunnar Gjørtz.
