The asset comprises approximately 12,500 sqm of lettable area and is prominently positioned along Kungsgatan, with strong visibility and proximity to ongoing residential, commercial and infrastructure development. In recent years, Kungsängen has evolved from a traditional industrial district into an increasingly integrated extension of central Uppsala, driven by population growth and continued urban development in the surrounding area.
Revelop plans to implement targeted initiatives with the ambition of improving operational efficiency and strengthening the asset’s environmental performance. With a total footprint of 61,000 sqm Revelop will be able to consolidate the business plan of its two Kungsängen assets in order to strengthen their combined market positioning and future development initiatives.
Uppsala is one of Sweden’s fastest-growing urban regions, supported by strong population growth, expanding infrastructure and increasing integration with the wider Stockholm-Mälardalen region. Significant investments in housing, public transport and commercial development continue to strengthen the city’s role as a key regional growth hub. Combined with a strong base in knowledge-intensive industries, healthcare and life science, these long-term fundamentals are driving increasing demand for modern and flexible commercial space across a broad range of resident segments.
“Uppsala continues to demonstrate strong long-term fundamentals driven by population growth, urban expansion and increasing commercial activity. Through this acquisition, we are further strengthening our position in a strategically important submarket where we see attractive opportunities to create long-term value in-line with Revelop’s strategy,” says Thomas Sipos, CEO & Executive Partner at Revelop.
