The properties are situated across several key locations in Linköping, all offering direct access to major motorway, and are 94 percent let to a mix of domestic and international tenants. Areim plans to implement targeted quality and energy efficiency upgrades aimed at improving building quality and EPC ratings of the properties.

“We see strong potential and opportunities in regional growth hubs such as Linköping, where strong local demand coupled with investments in infrastructure and a growing ecosystem around total defence, are reshaping the business environment. These dynamics create a resilient foundation for strategic, long-term real estate investments. We remain open for additional investments and ideas within the sector and are looking forward to expanding our presence and relationships in Linköping,” says Kristoffer Ultenius, Investment Director at Areim.

This latest acquisition in Linköping complements Areim’s portfolio in Greater Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Västerås, and Norrköping. Over the past twelve months, Areim has acquired an additional 35 light industrial properties through nine separate transactions. In total, Areim now approximately 90 properties with a total lettable area of roughly 380,000 sqm in its light industrial portfolio in Sweden. The portfolio also includes a significant volume of building rights as well as ongoing development.
