Sweden Sweden — Stena Fastigheter is growing in Gothenburg through the acquisition of two properties on Friggagatan and Ranängsgatan in the Stampen district. The properties consist of 30 residential apartments and commercial space at street level. The acquisition is part of the company's focus on sustainable and long-term urban development.

Nordika becomes major shareholder in Norwegian KMC Properties

Norway Norway — KMC Properties has agreed with Nordika for an equity injection, enabling further growth and financing of the acquisition of seven new properties. Nordika will invest NOK 275 million (EUR 24.4 million) at a price of NOK 5.5 (EUR 0.49) per share, representing 12.7 percent of the shares outstanding in KMC. Nordika will, after the issuance, be the third largest owner of KMC.

Genova leases 5,000 sqm to Altris

Denmark Denmark — Genesta expands its logistics portfolio and buys a 20,600 square meter logistics property under construction in Solrød, 25 minutes south of Copenhagen. It is an off-market deal with Logistic Contractor A/S, which is part of the Wästbygg Gruppen. It is Genesta's sixth logistics acquisition in two years.

"The Finnish housing market needs urgent support measures"

Finland Finland — Inflation and rising interest rates have led to a precarious situation in the Finnish housing market, a situation that has lasted exceptionally long. The main drivers of the housing trade, i.e. interest rates, consumer confidence and employment, are not expected to change for the better in the near future. The industry therefore needs effective and rapid support measures to recover. This is the opinion of Jukka Rantanen, CEO of Finnish Sb-Hem, who proposes that the interest deduction for mortgages be reintroduced and that the transfer tax be abolished.

Finland Finland — Hemsö has been awarded a lease agreement by the City of Helsinki in a public procurement. The city will rent premises for two upper-secondary schools for the arts in Helsinki. An extensive redevelopment will be carried out on the property at Siltavuorenpenger, which Hemsö acquired in 2021. The lease agreement has a 15-year term, and the lettable area is 5,000 square metres.

Svenska Handelsfastigheter writes down property value by 6.4 percent

Sweden Sweden — Svenska Handelsfastigheter writes down property values by SEK 1.0 billion (approximately EUR 91.1 million), corresponding to approximately 6.4 percent of the total property value, during the third quarter. After the write-down, the total property value amounts to SEK 14.8 billion (approximately EUR 1.35 billion). This is clear after the company had the entire property portfolio externally valued by two independent valuation firms as of September 30, 2023.

Nordr acquires Folkhem from Rikshem

SBB sells to Lovisenberg for EUR 245M

Norway Norway — SBB has sold two properties to the tenant Stiftelsen Diakonissehuset Lovisenberg for NOK 2,815 million (EUR 245 million). The properties being sold are the hospital on Ragnar Ströms Veg 10 in Ullensaker of which SBB owns 100 percent and an adjoining development plot of which SBB today owns 65 percent, co-owning with a local developer.

Doxa to lay off 25 Serneke employees

Sweden Sweden — The forms for Doxa's planned division of Serneke into two separate companies, one for contracting and one for property development, have now been decided, the company announces. With this, Serneke Group AB's group functions cease, which affects a total of approximately 75 employees, of which approximately 25 positions will disappear through notice of termination due to a lack of work, the company writes in a press release.
