Since its founding 25 years ago, Attivo has developed over 1,200 homes and 205,000 sqm of commercial space in the greater Oslo area. Anvil was founded in 2015 and acts as the strategic local partner for many international investors investing in the Nordics. Since inception, Anvil has acquired and asset managed NOK 15bn of real estate totaling 773,000 sqm in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
“The current disruption in the Norwegian residential sector creates some very unique opportunities for investors with capital and deep development expertise. We believe there is nobody more qualified than the Attivo team to pursue these types of opportunities in Norway, and we are very excited to have them as part of our organization,” says Nick Laird, Chairman of Anvil.
By combining the Attivo team’s development expertise with Anvil's deep investor relationships and capital markets/asset management capabilities, Anvil Development Partners is uniquely qualified to take a leading position in the Norwegian residential development market in the coming years. ADP will be able to offer a full-cycle value proposition: from site acquisition and project development through to asset management, financing and eventual exit.
“The establishment of ADP represents an exciting opportunity in the residential development space and a natural next step for the Attivo team. We have previously pursued investment opportunities together with Anvil and know we share a similar culture and approach to creating value for shareholders. We look forward to drawing on the best of both organizations as we co-locate, integrate and actively pursue new development opportunities,” says Espen Strand, Managing Director of Anvil Development Partners.
“We are very excited to partner with such a proven and talented team that allows Anvil to expand its core business into large-scale residential development projects by applying our own principles of analytics, access and investor alignment to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns,” says Erik Kimmestad, Co-CEO of Anvil.
