The government block was destroyed in conjunction with Anders Behring Breikvik’s terror attack in July 2011.

Six architecture teams have now created proposals which are being displayed for the public since Monday and four weeks going forth.

The task at hand for the architecture teams was to create a proposal for how the government office would be designed. The focus has been on where the buildings are to be located, how tall they should be, how traffic, environment and safety should be integrated and how the street environment should look.

“This is a possibility study that will show the opportunities, but also limitations of the area” says Jo Ulltveit-Moe, Administrative Officer at Norwegian Statsbygg.
