The deal is part of Anthropic's effort to secure more computing power in line with increasing demand for the company's AI services.
The company has also entered into similar agreements with Spacex, AMD and Akamai, among others, and is reportedly in talks with Meta about additional capacity.
Volta, founded by former executives from Brookfield Asset Management, leases AI capacity and helps customers finance the purchase of expensive chips.
In May, Anthropic raised $65 billion, equivalent to around NOK 620 billion, in an investment round to finance new AI investments.
