SLP has acquired a property in a strategic logistics location in Gothenburg for an agreed property value of SEK 625 million. The property, Göteborg Sörred 7:8, has a lettable area of approximately 28,000 square meters and is leased in its entirety by a company that is part of the Tata Group. The lease agreement signed in connection with the acquisition has a duration of approximately 12 years and a rental value of SEK 39.6 million per year.

“We are very happy and proud to have acquired this property, which has an excellent strategic logistics location in Gothenburg. In addition, there is a building right to the property with additional development opportunities that can be utilized,” says Tommy Åstrand, CEO of SLP.

Gothenburg has a strategically advantageous location for logistics in Scandinavia, mainly due to its proximity to western Sweden’s most important port. Approximately 30 percent of Sweden’s foreign trade passes through the port.

The property is being acquired through a corporate transaction from Torsholmen Fastighets AB and is conditional on the Tata Group taking over the operations, previously conducted by IAC Group Sweden, and issuing guarantee commitments for the lease agreement. SLP will take ownership of the property preliminary in June and payment will be made with own funds and secured bank financing.
