Laine returns to Technopolis, having previously served as the company’s CFO from 2017 to 2019 and as CEO from 2019 to 2020. Laine will succeed Joonas Mäkipeska, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.
"Sami brings strong financial leadership experience as well as a deep understanding of Technopolis and the environment in which we operate. His knowledge of our business, and extensive experience, will be a valuable asset as we continue to develop the company. We are very pleased to welcome Sami back to Technopolis," says Niko Pulli, CEO of Technopolis.
"I am very happy to be returning to Technopolis. The company has developed a great deal since my previous time here. What I am most looking forward to is working together with the leading professionals in the industry, reconnecting with familiar colleagues, and meeting new ones," Laine comments.
Laine joins Technopolis from eniferBio, where he served as CFO most recently. He brings extensive experience in financial management, business development, and the real estate sector. Previously, he has served as CEO of Parmaco Group, CFO of Renor Oy, and in several other finance and leadership roles. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of YIT and Chairperson of the Board of Naava Group.
"In my view, the key role of a finance organisation is to support and help business operations achieve the best possible financial and operational performance. In this rapidly changing business environment, Technopolis’ strengths are its differentiated and well-established concept, flexibility and service-minded culture. A workspace today is truly much more than just square metres, and understanding this is, in my opinion, one of Technopolis’ key competitive advantages," says Laine.
