During the spring, news has been pouring in, several of Urban Escape's largest tenants have decided to stay and develop together with the block. In connection with the lease agreement being renewed, Spotify is also choosing to continue developing in Urban Escape. In a similar way that the block around Brunkebergstorg has gone from closed to open over the past decade, Spotify will now renew its headquarters in Gallerian. More people will be able to take advantage of the streaming service, which celebrates its 20th anniversary next year.

"As we approach Spotify’s 20th anniversary, we look both back and forward. Our upcoming office renovation in Stockholm is more than a physical change – it is a way to open ourselves up to the city and create a place where ideas, culture, creativity, food and drink can take place", says Mattias Stålhammar, Head of Global Workplace Services at Spotify.

While people are given the opportunity to step into the world of Spotify, AMF Fastigheter is also transforming the nearby urban space in Gallerian, with the goal of improved flow and with the ambition to create better conditions for meetings, life and movement - a place for more.

With the new plans, Urban Escape and Gallerian enter the next development phase. The upper floor of the Gallerian will have new content and new contact surfaces both outwards towards the city and inwards towards the shopping centre. AMF Fastigheter is thus further developing the vision of Urban Escape, where the tenants of the block will contribute to the next chapter in different ways.

"Spotify's future plans are fully in line with our vision of Urban Escape as a central, vibrant and creative place in Stockholm. Together with all actors operating in the district, we now look forward to consolidating Urban Escape's position as one of the city's most important business and commercial districts. We are convinced that the development will benefit both the Urban Escape district and the city as a whole", says Per Helgesson, Market Area Manager Urban Escape, AMF Fastigheter.
