The board of Familjebostäder in Stockholm has decided to recommend to the city council to carry out an acquisition of 14 properties (84,000 square meters of lettable area) with a total of 1,194 rental apartments, 4,862 square meters of premises and 762 parking spaces in Hjulsta from Einar Mattsson. The earliest possible takeover is expected to be in December 2025 after a legally binding decision from the city council. The underlying property value in the deal amounts to SEK 1,418 million.

”Einar Mattsson has worked with the housing in Hjulsta for 17 years and has made significant efforts and investments that have resulted in a safer area, inviting courtyards and sought-after housing. Handing over responsibility for the housing in Hjulsta to a long-term company like Familjebostäder feels safe. They have the conditions to further develop the qualities of the area. Einar Mattsson is now strengthening its balance sheet and liquidity, which opens up new investments,” says Einar Mattsson's CEO Stefan Ränk.

Familjebostäder has worked with PWC and DLA Piper as advisors. Einar Mattsson has collaborated with Tango and Cirio Advokatbyrå.
