The “Back to Basics” strategy means that Castellum is sharpening its focus on its core business: commercial properties, mainly in Sweden, with a decentralized model close to customers, strict cost discipline and a clear profitability focus. The portfolio will be managed more actively through an increased transaction speed to improve returns.

“Ten percent is the thing. Castellum has many profitable properties and skilled employees. Faster pace, less bureaucracy and a clear profitability focus will get us there,” says Pål Ahlsén, CEO of Castellum.

The financial policy is strengthened by adding an ambition to always strive for an investment grade rating. The remaining parts of the financial policy are unchanged, with a loan-to-value ratio that does not exceed 40 percent in the long term and an interest coverage ratio of at least three times.

Castellum’s sustainability goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2040 remains.
