Mileway continues to strengthen its long-standing relationship with DHL Freight through the extension of the lease for the property Näringen 4:3 in Gävle—a strategically located hub for last-mile logistics in central Sweden.
The facility is located at the heart of one of the region’s most important logistics and commercial clusters, offering direct access to major transport routes, port infrastructure and intermodal connections. For DHL Freight—a leading provider of parcel distribution, e-commerce logistics and contract logistics—the location is critical to maintaining an efficient and resilient supply chain across the Nordic region.
In connection with the lease renewal, Mileway is investing in a comprehensive modernisation of the property. The upgrade includes two levels of new office space, a modern Service Point, energy-efficient LED lighting, upgraded building management and ventilation systems, as well as improvements to outdoor areas and groundworks—enhancing both operational reliability and long-term sustainability.
Gävle continues to develop as a key hub for logistics and commercial operations, driven by a skilled workforce, well-developed infrastructure and a growing technology and industrial sector.
“We are very pleased to renew our agreement with DHL Freight, a long-standing tenant and valued partner. Through these upgrades, we ensure that the facility meets DHL’s high operational standards while further strengthening efficiency and reliability within their regional logistics flows,” says Jacob Goldmann, Country Director Sweden, Mileway.
“Gävle is a strategically important hub for us as we continue to invest in the logistics of the future. The region is dynamic and offers an exceptional location for nationwide distribution, making our terminal in Gävle a central part of our network,” says Åsa Sigurdh, VP Terminal Based Operations Sweden, DHL Freight.
