Sweden — Malmö will get a new arena for football and athletics on the site where the historic Malmö Stadium currently stands. The new facility will have a lower audience capacity, 8,000 spectators, compared to the previous 22,500 spectators. However, the costs for the project have almost doubled and exceeded one billion kronor. Now the detailed plan will be given the green light by the city council.
