In total, the newly signed leases at Bromma Blocks comprise approximately 25,000 square metres of lettable space and represent a lease value of approximately SEK 650 million, making this one of the largest leasing transactions in recent years.
The initiative marks an important milestone in the development of Bromma Blocks and further strengthens its position as one of the Stockholm region’s most attractive retail destinations. The objective is to create a modern, attractive, and sustainable retail environment that meets evolving customer needs and remains competitive in the long term.
With a stronger offering across categories such as home furnishings, groceries, consumer electronics, leisure, and fashion, the retail destination will assume a clearer and more relevant role for both current and future visitors.
Among the existing tenants choosing to continue investing in Bromma Blocks are Akademibokhandeln, Lekia, Hemtex, MQ MarQet, Elon Ljud & Bild, Lindra, and Scorett. At the same time, negotiations are ongoing with both existing and prospective tenants regarding several additional premises. Further announcements and updates will be presented on an ongoing basis.
“We are delighted to be able to present so many strong brands and retailers already at this stage. We are seeing considerable interest in Bromma Blocks and are working purposefully to create a tenant mix that meets customer needs and enhances the destination’s long-term attractiveness,” says Malin Norén, Commercial Asset Manager at Svenska Handelsfastigheter.
The new tenant mix is the result of extensive efforts aimed at creating a broad and complementary retail offering for both current and future visitors. Through a stronger retail proposition and clearer customer benefits, more reasons are created for customers to visit the destination, while also providing improved conditions for Bromma Blocks’ long-term development.
“The fact that both new and established operators are choosing to invest in Bromma Blocks demonstrates the destination’s strong market position. Its strategic location, excellent accessibility, and strong customer base provide highly favourable conditions for Bromma Blocks to play a leading role in the evolution of the retail sector,” says Thomas Holm, CEO of Svenska Handelsfastigheter.
The redevelopment of Bromma Blocks will be carried out in phases over the coming years. The ambition is to create a retail destination featuring an attractive tenant offering, modern premises, strong accessibility, sustainability credentials, and a customer experience that meets the demands of the future.
