“It is fantastic that we are continuing the transformation of Tennet and that we can welcome a company which, like us, recognises the significant value of enhancing existing buildings to meet the needs of today’s office tenants. We successfully upgrade existing properties and take sustainability seriously, and this transaction is clear evidence of that,” says Anders Woodall, Head of Office Leasing at Platzer.

The lease comprises 8,000 square metres of office space in the property Gullbergsvass 5:26. The agreement is for seven years, with occupancy expected in December 2027. The tenant is a new customer for Platzer. Discussions with the tenant have placed a strong emphasis on extensive material reuse and circular construction principles.

Platzer is actively redeveloping the Tennet property (Gullbergsvass 5:26) at Kilsgatan 4, close to the new West Link commuter rail station scheduled to open at the turn of the year. The transformation began a year ago following Nordea’s announcement that it would vacate its premises. The ambition is to create an even more attractive and welcoming workplace environment – a destination that supports both focused work and everyday social interaction.

Gullbergsvass and the Central Station district constitute one of Gothenburg’s most expansive urban development areas. Approximately 2,000 new homes and 20,000 new jobs are planned, with the objective of creating a vibrant urban district closely connected to the river, the city centre, and future mobility infrastructure. Later this year, the West Link rail connection will be inaugurated, while new roadways and pedestrian routes will also be completed.

Platzer maintains a long-term commitment to contributing to the development of a sustainable, attractive, and functional city centre. The Central Station district and Lilla Bommen constitute one of the company’s priority development areas. Platzer currently owns a property portfolio exceeding 50,000 square metres and holds development rights for approximately 100,000 square metres within the area.
