“The acquisition is an important step in our continued growth in Uppsala and the Stockholm region. It is fully aligned with our strategy to expand our property portfolio in our markets and to take long-term responsibility as a property owner and manager,” says Carola Lavén, CEO of Ikano Bostad.

Ikano Bostad has been operating in Uppsala since 2015 and currently owns and manages two care homes in Gottsunda and Sala Backe. The company has previously developed and built approximately 360 condominiums in Gränby and Kapellgärdet. In early June, Ikano Bostad broke ground on its first project in the new Skeppskajen district in Kvarngärdet, where the company plans to build 450 homes over the coming years.

Ikano Bostad will take possession of the properties on 1 October this year.
