A new district is emerging at Årstafältet with mixed-use development, approximately 8,000 homes, schools, businesses and a large city park. Klövern already has a significant presence at Årstafältet and through the acquisition strengthens its position in the area with an additional approximately 380 rental apartments and 10,000 square meters of commercial space. The property will also include a mobility hub with garages and other mobility services that will become part of the area's shared parking solution and create the conditions for the continued development of Årstafältet.

"We look forward to contributing to developing Årstafältet, one of Sweden's largest urban development projects, into a vibrant district and an important link for a more cohesive city. Through this acquisition, Klövern becomes one of the largest developers at Årstafältet and the project's prominent location at one of the area's entrances means that a new landmark is created. At the same time, the project will be a significant addition to Klövern's portfolio", says Mathias Wallestam, CEO of Klövern.

The project is located next to the city park and a large part of the apartments will have extensive views of both the park and Stockholm. The new Årstafältet metro station is planned in the immediate vicinity, which will provide the area with a quick connection to central Stockholm and Älvsjö. The Tvärbanan and commuter train are also in the vicinity.

"The micro location is strong with the city park on the doorstep, good communications and a growing range of services and meeting places. This creates attractive accommodation for a broad target group. The large scale of the project also gives us the opportunity to explore innovative solutions, for example in housing concepts and energy", says Sofia Bredberg Hanser, Business Development Manager at Klövern.
