Demand for hybrid offices and coworking spaces is strong, especially in the country’s major cities. In order to offer this to more people in Stockholm, Convendum is establishing with Fastighets AB Balder in Spårvagnshallarna. The premises will start to be taken into possession in early 2023.

Stockholm is one of Europe’s most expansive and fastest growing cities and the area around Spårvagnshallarna has been an important place for Stockholm’s business community for a long time. As Convendum is now expanding its establishment in the capital city together with Balder, this will enable more people to generate business and work in this central and attractive district.

“Demand is strong and we are very happy to be able to offer both our new and existing members a coworking space in the distinguished Spårvagnshallarna building with pertaining conference centre, and also our new café concept Convendum Coffee in the wonderful entrance lounge. It feels great to work with Balder in relation to these fine premises and this central business district,” says Convendum’s CEO Håkan Jeppsson.

At the Stockholm office of the property company Balder, strong demand is being noted for commercial premises and as always it is important to find good solutions for the customers.

“We have had a dialogue with Convendum for a long time and it feels really great that we have now agreed on what we hope will be the first of many joint establishments.  It is important for us as a property owner and landlord to be responsive and ensure that our customers are happy and have the opportunity to develop their business,” says Martin Berg, Regional Manager for Commercial Premises at Balder.

The lease agreement on Birger Jarlsgatan 57 includes office and conference space. The premises are spread over four floors and comprise approximately 6,800 sqm in total. Possession will occur in stages with the first occupation in early 2023. Already this spring, Balder is initiating the work on adapting the premises for the new tenant and will also give the public areas of the property a facelift.

The property Spårvagnen 4 has a total lettable area of approximately 23,000 sqm and was acquired by Balder in 2012. Current tenants include a gym, restaurants, offices and a garage but Balder’s own Stockholm office is also located in the block.
