The Nordic Group and Strawberry have agreed on a transfer for Grand Tromsø, which will change ownership and name to Quality Hotel Grand Tromsø in December.

“This is a solid signing that we are particularly proud to announce. Quality Hotel Grand Tromsø will strengthen an already strong Strawberry team in Tromsø, and we look forward to welcoming the Nordic Group and all the employees at the hotel. This both strengthens our position in the Arctic city and gives our loyal members even more opportunities,” says Petter A. Stordalen, owner of Strawberry.

Grand Tromsø is located in the middle of the city and has 176 guest rooms, including several family rooms, five meeting rooms, a bar, café and restaurant. The hotel is owned and operated by the Nordic Group, a major player in the northern Norwegian travel and property market.
“The travel industry in Northern Norway is in a fantastic development that it is fantastic to be a part of. Nevertheless, we believe that the potential in the north is even greater and have high ambitions for the hotel that we believe we can best achieve together with Strawberry. At the same time, we would like to thank Scandic for a good collaboration, which we will maintain until December,” says Alf Hansen, CEO of the Nordic Group.

Strawberry has grown a lot in the three northernmost counties in recent years and wants to strengthen itself further in Northern Norway. When the Tromsø hotel takes on a new look as Quality Hotel Grand Tromsø, it will be the sixth Strawberry hotel in the Arctic City.
“We have the full spectrum of hotel experiences in Tromsø. Now we are also increasing the opportunities and flexibility for our members in the city that has been the best hotel city in the Nordics in recent years,” says Stordalen.
