Nordisk Renting has acquired a newly built truck service centre and Finnish headquarters of Scania Suomi Oy in Vantaa, Finland. The transaction reinforces Nordisk Renting’s position as a longterm real estate partner to Scania and to the broader Volkswagen Group in the Nordic region.

Scania is a world-leading provider of heavy transport solutions such as heavy trucks and buses. In Finland, Scania holds a significant position in commercial vehicle market with a great focus on sustainability and electrification. Scania is an existing customer for Nordisk Renting through leasing a truck and maintenance centre in Pirkkala since 2019.

The modern facility was completed in 2025 and consists of two buildings totalling approximately 6,660 sqm of heavy duty vehicle repair & maintenance and office premises. This new main Scania centre in Finland is located in the prime logistics area in Tuupakka, close to the Helsinki airport. The acquisition is structured as a saleandleaseback with a long triple net lease agreement, featuring a call option for Scania to purchase back the asset and an extension option at the end of the lease term.

“Since the opening of the Scania centre in Vantaa in January 2025, we have been very satisfied with the location, accessibility and visibility of the new facility near the airport. The property on Tulkintie, situated along the heavily trafficked Ring Road III, is important and strategic for us, which is why we will continue our operations there with Nordisk Renting as our partner,” says Jussi Korkeamäki, CFO at Scania Suomi Oy.

“We are supporting our customer Scania in their growth by financing strategically important operations — not only in Pirkkala, but now also in the Helsinki metropolitan area — through longterm lease agreements. Our aim is to enable our clients’ expansion with financing solutions that safeguard control over their properties and ensure longterm usability,” says Leea Tolvas, Country Director for Finland at Nordisk Renting.
