“This is an exciting step for Genesta, and a segment we strongly believe in. Copenhagen’s single-person households keep growing, while zoning and rising construction costs constrain new supply. Mylo is a newly built, stabilised property and a strong starting point in one of the city’s fastest-changing neighbourhoods. We thank DFI and SFM for a constructive process,” says David C. Neil, CEO of Genesta.

Completed in 2024 and DGNB Gold certified, Mylo is fully let, mainly to young professionals. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette, complemented by shared spaces including roof terraces, lounges, study and co-working areas, and communal kitchens.

“Micro living is increasingly a lifestyle choice, for young professionals and others who value location, flexibility and community over square metres. Mylo has a strong resident community and a well-proven concept, and we look forward to building on it together with our residents,” says Stefan Björklund, Residential Responsible at Genesta.

The property is located in Sydhavnen, a waterfront district that has been transformed from an industrial harbour into one of Copenhagen’s most sought-after residential areas, with good access to the city centre via public transport.

Mylo is Genesta’s fourth residential investment in 2026, following three properties in Finland earlier this year. It is also Genesta’s second residential investment in Greater Copenhagen, joining Cirkelhuset in Køge, which Genesta has owned since 2022.

Genesta was advised by Bech-Bruun, KPMG and KHR on the transaction.
