Niam Infrastructure invested in Nima Energy in 2022, when the company was in an early growth phase. Since then, the company has developed into a leading Swedish ultra-fast EV charging operator, expanding rapidly across Sweden in cities and along key transport routes, serving both professional drivers and private EV drivers.
During Niam’s ownership, Nima Energy significantly scaled its network of highway and urban charging locations, growing from 0 to a network soon reaching 178 charging points across 16 sites in Sweden, supporting the continued electrification of transport.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals.
"Nima Energy is a strong example of our investment approach within infrastructure. When we partnered with the company in 2022, we saw a compelling opportunity to support an ambitious management team in building a scalable platform in a sector undergoing significant transformation. We are proud of what has been achieved together and are pleased to see Nima Energy enter its next phase of growth with Vattenfall," said Sverker Åkerblom, Head of Infrastructure at Niam.
"Niam has been a highly supportive owner throughout our growth journey. Together, we have built a strong position in the Swedish ultra-fast charging market, expanding from an early-stage business into a company with an established network and strong market position. We would like to thank the Niam team for their trust and partnership over the past four years," said Marcus Landelin, Founder and CEO of Nima Energy.
