NCC is sued for SEK 5 million after fatal accident at Northvolt.

NCC is being fined SEK 5 million after a workplace accident outside Northvolt's factory in Skellefteå in which one person died and another was seriously injured, Swedish state television reports.
The accident occurred in December 2023 when a mobile crane fell while working to erect a tarpaulin over a work tent. The prosecutor believes that NCC had not sufficiently investigated and assessed the risks of the work and the lifting device.
NCC has accepted the claim and the case can therefore be decided by Skellefteå District Court without a trial.
Northvolt is not considered to have been at fault in the accident.
