The hotel market has recovered strongly after the pandemic, according to Niam, driven by increased travel and continued demand for high-quality hotel properties in attractive locations.
"The transaction reflects the renewed strength in the market and the continued interest from institutional investors for well-positioned assets with strong long-term prospects", says Rikard Henriksson, Head of Real Estate at Niam Group.
During the company's ownership period, work has been done to strengthen the property and its operational prospects. This has included a renegotiation of the lease agreement and a technical division of the hotel and office parts of the property.
"While we continue to have strong confidence in the property's long-term potential, we believe that the current market situation offers an attractive opportunity to realize value for our investors", says Erik Rydström, Fund Manager at Niam Group.
Capman believes that the Copenhagen hotel market offers a compelling combination of resilient demand, international connectivity and limited new supply, making it an attractive market for long-term investments.
“Hotel Crowne Plaza Copenhagen is a high-quality asset that fits perfectly into Capman Nordic Real Estate IV’s investment strategy. We continue to see attractive opportunities in selected segments of the Nordic real estate market where strong fundamentals, active asset management and long-term trends support value creation,” says Mika Matikainen, Managing Partner, Capman.
