Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Karl Persson as Head of Nordics, reflecting the importance of the region to the firm and its clients. This follows the recent acquisition of its partner firm in Finland. The Helsinki-based firm, which has been Cushman & Wakefield’s Finnish partner since 2003, consists of 22 commercial real estate advisors, including six senior partners. They provide services in transaction, leasing, tenant advisory and valuation. The team has been involved in many significant transactions in the Finnish market, including last year’s acquisition of a logistics portfolio with an underlying value of EUR 135 million.

Persson’s role is an extension of his current responsibilities as Head of Sweden, which he will retain. In addition to leading the business in Sweden, he will drive activities across the Nordics in close collaboration with the management teams in Finland, as well as Denmark and Norway, where the firm’s services are extended through partnerships.

"We see huge potential for further growth in the Nordics and are excited about the opportunities this creates for our teams and our clients. This appointment reflects our belief in the region, our desire to further enhance our platform and our recognition of Karl as the senior leader to drive our plans forward," says Colin Wilson, Chief Executive, EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield.

"Our established presence and long-standing relationships across the Nordics mean we already have a successful platform in the region, particularly in core investment services such as Capital Markets, Valuation and Leasing, but increasingly in other areas as well. I look forward to the future as we build on this for the benefit of our clients and colleagues," says Karl Persson, Head of Nordics, Cushman & Wakefield.
