Rusta's CEO Göran Westerberg writes in the third quarter report:
"This means that Rusta is facing a historically large expansion effort that will begin to have an effect in the coming quarters, including in the fourth quarter with six new openings.”
In the second quarter report for 2024/25, Rusta stated that the company's pipeline of new approved and signed department stores had grown from 35 to 38 net since the previous quarter, and the company raised its forecast for the next three years from 40–60 to 50–80 new department stores.
In Germany, Rusta is taking the next step in working on a new cluster of department stores.
"The goal is to shortly contract 3–5 department stores that meet the criteria shown by our analysis and given that the development of these department stores is in line with our expectations, it is an important step towards proof-of-concept. The first of these departments has now been decided and is included in the 44 departments above," writes Göran Westerberg.
