Prisma is initiating a major development project in Tierp with new premises directly adjacent to the company’s existing retail site. The project comprises approximately 7,500 square metres of lettable area. Once completed, the retail destination will total around 14,000 square metres, offering a broad range of groceries, discount retail and fast charging for electric vehicles.
Preparatory work ahead of construction has already begun, and the new stores are expected to open gradually from the third quarter of 2027. The existing retail area currently includes Dollarstore, Jysk, ICA Supermarket and STC, and together with the new establishments, Tierp’s position as a regional retail destination will be strengthened.
“This is an important step in the continued development of our retail area in Tierp. Demand for modern and strategically located retail premises remains strong, and we are pleased to welcome several well‑established operators to the area. The project supports our long‑term strategy to develop attractive retail destinations in high‑traffic locations,” says Thomas Hansen, Business Developer at Prisma Properties.
“We are very pleased with our establishment in Tierp. It is an exciting location with strong neighbouring retailers and excellent access to the E4 motorway. The entire process has been carried out in close cooperation with the property owner, and we now look forward to the opening,” says Stefan Roysson, Head of Administration at Thansen.
“We are very pleased with this establishment in Tierp together with Prisma Properties. This puts Jem & fix on the map in Uppland and is a natural step in our ambition to provide low‑price products for building, home and garden to as many customers as possible,” says Fredrik Hennings, CEO of Jem & fix.
