The listed restaurant company Nordic Service Partners Holding is behind the launch. The restaurant will be one of NSP’s largest with drive-thru, approximately 150 seats and parking for approximately 70 cars. The establishment creates about 60 new job opportunities, most of them aimed towards teenagers.
“It has been strategically important to establish our first KFC on a highly trafficked spot. Large drive-thru locations normally give good revenue with a stable flow and it gives us good conditions to create a good start for KFC. It will be interesting to see how KFC is received in Sweden” says Morgan Jallinder, CEO at NSP.
KFC in Lockarp will be followed by a KFC at Stortorget in Malmö, which is expected to open this spring. NSP is evaluating new locations and the plan is to open 4-6 KFC restaurants per year.
