"These properties naturally belong in our portfolio. Through this acquisition, we gain even greater control over Sweden's defense properties, which enhances security for our partners," says Caroline Reuterskiöld Wall, acting Director General and Chief Legal Officer at the Swedish Fortifications Agency.
The acquisition strengthens Fortificationsverket’s role as a property owner and landlord within the military defense sector.
"Fortificationsverket’s main mission is to contribute to enhanced defense capabilities, and therefore, it feels very positive that we are now coordinating the management of properties with such high demands on physical security, as these authorities have. It is both rational and cost-effective," says Caroline Reuterskiöld Wall.
The transfer will take place in the fall of 2025.
The deal is subject to government approval.
