The value of the assignment will be determined after the completion of the planning and design phase. Any construction work will be ordered through separate customer orders within the framework of the agreement. The scope of the project will be determined step by step through the customer’s ordering process and, depending on the scope of such orders, the total value of construction work under the agreement may amount to approximately 100 million euros.
The full scope of the project, including the planning and design phase and the construction phase, is expected to include ground and infrastructure works, two data centers of 100 megawatts each, associated support functions, as well as high-voltage connections and substation works.
“This project is an important strategic step for NYAB as we continue to grow in advanced industrial development projects. The data center segment is expanding and we are proud to support Compute Nordic in the delivery of a modern and reliable facility in Mikkeli,” says Petri Kotkansalo, CEO of Nyab Finland.
“We are very pleased to have entered into an agreement with NYAB to drive our large-scale data center project in Mikkeli forward. We look forward to the collaboration,” says Harald Riise, CEO, Compute Nordic.
The data center project in Mikkeli includes the development of a large-scale facility with associated earthworks, buildings and electrical infrastructure, intended to support long-term data center operations in the region.
