The new office, located in a property owned by AMF Fastigheter, comprises 1,192 square meters, with the planned move-in date set for early 2026. The relocation marks a significant step in meeting CBRE’s need for a modern and efficient working environment. CBRE Sweden AB and CBRE Asset Management AB will share the space.
“We have been looking for a larger office that offers the latest infrastructure and smart solutions to foster collaboration and creativity. Our new headquarters will provide us with optimal conditions for teamwork and well-being during the workday,” says Daniel Hummel, Managing Director, CBRE Sweden AB.
“It has been both fun and educational to be our own 'client'. We are proud to have managed the entire project independently – from identifying the premises and negotiating the lease, to designing the new workplace together with AMF Fastigheter, and also leading the change management process associated with transitioning to a more modern way of working.”
Founded in Sweden in 1999, CBRE recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. Today, the company is the world’s leading real estate advisory firm. It has been located at Jakobsbergsgatan 16 since 2014.
“We had high sustainability standards when searching for our future office,” says Linda Kjällén, Head of ESG and Sustainability Solutions at CBRE Sweden. “The property and the landlord, AMF Fastigheter, have demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and have reused significant amounts of material during the renovation. Achieving Energy Class B was also one of our key criteria. Altogether, these factors provide the best conditions for us to realize our goal of creating CBRE’s most sustainable office.”
The company also announced that it is working with its in-house architects, Design Collective, who have previously designed several CBRE offices, including in Amsterdam and Los Angeles. Together, they will maintain a strong focus on sustainability in the completion of the new premises – both in terms of the overall space and the interior design – with a clear ambition to reuse as much as possible.
“We would like to thank our current landlord, Skandia Fastigheter, for a very good and long-standing collaboration over the years,” adds Daniel Hummel.
The historic property, Televerkets hus, was constructed between 1910 and 1912 for the Royal Telegraph Agency (Kungliga Telegrafverket) based on architectural plans by Aron Johansson. The building has been classified as a state-listed heritage property since 1993 and is of significant cultural and historical value. AMF Fastigheter acquired the property in 2013 and initiated a major renovation in 2023. The goal is to achieve the Miljöbyggnad i drift Silver certification, reflecting a strong focus on sustainability and environmentally conscious solutions.
“We are very pleased to welcome CBRE to Jakobsbergsgatan 24,” says Tove Törneman, Project Manager at AMF Fastigheter. “This is a unique building that has recently been transformed into a property offering modern, sustainable, and flexible office solutions. The redevelopment was carried out with high ambitions to reduce the climate footprint both during construction and in future property management. We look forward to seeing CBRE manage the space with sustainability at the core.”
