“We view it very positively that a local player with a strong commitment to Växjö wants to take over and further develop the property. This aligns fully with our mission to contribute to a sustainable and safe Växjö,” says Arijeta Reci (Social Democrats), Chair of the Board at Vidingehem.
“The development plan for the Ansgarius block includes, among other things, modern central office spaces and housing with access to a wide range of services. The plan also incorporates a larger business operation that will help strengthen Växjö as a visitor destination and contribute to a more vibrant city center,” says Anders Svensson, CEO of APP Properties.
Alongside the ongoing process, customary property due diligence and in-depth project development work will now begin. The sales process is still in an early stage and will undergo thorough review before any binding agreement may be concluded.
“The area surrounding the former municipal building represents a major development opportunity, given its central location. We have experience with similar projects and understand what is required in terms of collaboration, innovation, and dedication,” says Anders Svensson.
“This is a great example of how we, together with local stakeholders, can find solutions that support the city’s long-term development,” concludes Arijeta Reci.
