The portfolio consists of 75 residential units in Vännäs with a total lettable area of 3,777 square meters. The purchase price is based on an agreed property value of SEK 83.3 million. All buildings were constructed between 2016 and 2018.

The transaction includes the properties Pensionären 22 (32 units), Stadsrådet 12 (27 units), and Vännäs 34:30 (16 units).

The sale is structured as a share transfer of the company Bo i Vännäs AB. The share purchase agreement was signed in February, and the transaction is subject to approval by the Municipal Council of Vännäs.

“We are pleased to once again have been entrusted to acquire properties from the municipal housing sector. We feel welcomed in Vännäs, a growing municipality with a forward-looking spirit that inspires us. In addition to being part of the Umeå region – a strong growth engine in northern Sweden – this acquisition complements our existing portfolio in Umeå and enables us to strengthen our local property management, which we consider a core component of our business,” says Emil Westerlind, CEO of Grannstaden.

Following the acquisition, Grannstaden will own 270 apartments in the Umeå region and a total of 1,055 apartments across three management units along the Norrland coast.

“It is a great way to start 2026 by announcing this transaction. We are engaged in several additional discussions and hope to complete further deals in the near future,” says Emil Westerlind.
